How disc rolls work

Drive discs are ZZZ's gear system — and its math is simple once you see it: fixed substat pools, a fixed number of rolls, and maximum values per roll. Here's the whole system, and how to grade what drops.

Quick answer

Every S-rank disc has one main stat and up to four substats. Substats roll from a fixed pool with known maximum single-roll values, and leveling a disc to +15 adds rolls in steps. A disc's quality is just how close its total rolls came to those maximums — which is exactly what the disc scorer measures.

Do it now: grade your latest drops with the disc scorer while you read.

The roll system

Why "bad for X, god-tier for Y" is real

An anomaly agent wants Anomaly Proficiency and PEN; a stunner wants HP and DEF utility; a DPS wants crit and ATK%. The same 60% RV disc is trash for one and playable for another. Before foddering anything, check who else on your roster could use those exact substats.

Grading workflow

  1. Score every new S-rank disc in the disc scorer at +0 — the substat values already tell you the ceiling.
  2. Level to +9 first if RV looks strong; re-score. Early rolls decide most of a disc's fate.
  3. Keep: 85%+ RV, or any crit piece with both crit substats. Fodder: under 55% once you hold two alternatives.
  4. Re-check the set: a 70% RV disc completing a two-piece bonus usually beats an 80% RV off-set piece.
